2015 –\u00a0<\/em>R2L NextGen is a week-long leadership and civic engagement program for high school students in 9th<\/sup>, 10th<\/sup>, and 11th<\/sup> grades. CHCI will bring 40 Latino high school students to D.C. to learn about how the federal government works, meet key leaders, visit historic sites and develop a deeper understanding of how they can affect positive change in their communities and their nation.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The program, which will take place July 26 \u201331, 2015<\/b>, is completely FREE of charge\u00a0<\/span><\/b>to all selected student participants.<\/p>\n

Student must reside in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens or Staten Island. <\/b>in order to be eligible to apply (detailed eligibility requirements can be found here<\/a>). CHCI has identified only a small number of geographic regions where we are recruiting students; as such, we have reserved spaces for students from the greater New York area. <\/b><\/p>\n

Applications are now available online<\/a> and must be submitted by Friday, April 17, 2015 at 11:59pm Eastern Time<\/span><\/b>.<\/p>\n
