This year\u2019s student debate covered current and controversial cyber topics, including cellphone monitoring, the NSA and Edward Snowden, and the Apple v. FBI case. Students presented their arguments to the expert judges\u2019 panel, and answered judges\u2019 questions.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2998\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2998\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/jrcnycorg.files.wordpress.com\/2016\/03\/20160513_105310_cropped.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2998\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2998\" src=\"http:\/\/jrcnycorg.files.wordpress.com\/2016\/03\/20160513_105310_cropped.jpg\" alt=\"William Cullen Bryant HS students answer judges' questions after presenting their debate topic arguments. \" width=\"500\" height=\"161\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2998\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">William Cullen Bryant HS students answer judges&#8217; questions after presenting their debate topic arguments.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/csis.pace.edu\/~dhayes\/\">Professor Darren Hayes<\/a> from Pace University&#8217;s Seidenberg School of Computer Science &amp; Information Systems addressed students, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyed.uscourts.gov\/content\/magistrate-judge-james-orenstein\" target=\"_blank\">Honorable Orenstein <\/a>spoke about the recent Apple and FBI case and answered judges and students&#8217; questions.
