2015 – R2L NextGen is a week-long leadership and civic engagement program for high school students in 9th, 10th, and 11th grades. CHCI will bring 40 Latino high school students to D.C. to learn about how the federal government works, meet key leaders, visit historic sites and develop a deeper understanding of how they can affect positive change in their communities and their nation.
The program, which will take place July 26 –31, 2015, is completely FREE of charge to all selected student participants.
Student must reside in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens or Staten Island. in order to be eligible to apply (detailed eligibility requirements can be found here). CHCI has identified only a small number of geographic regions where we are recruiting students; as such, we have reserved spaces for students from the greater New York area.
Applications are now available online and must be submitted by Friday, April 17, 2015 at 11:59pm Eastern Time.
