March 2, 2016 – The Federal Bar Council’s Public Service Committee in conjunction with the Justice Resource Center (JRC) are sponsoring the Federal Courts Visit Program for high school students. Up to 30 students, guided by a Law Academy teacher and an attorney from your MENTOR law firm, will visit the federal courthouse, watch a court proceeding and meet with a federal judge. The available spring dates are from March 14 – June 2, 2016.
We are looking forward to getting the program in operation during this school term. The scheduling of dates is on a first-come, first-serve basis. You MUST consult with your MENTOR law firm before deciding on the dates. Please make sure the dates you select do not conflict with your mock trial dates. Court visits begin promptly at 9:30am. You can discuss lunch arrangements with the law firm (JRC does not make these arrangements).
