April 2, 2016 – The New York County Lawyers’ Association (NYCLA) Law-Related Education Committee is sponsoring this year’s Law Day attorney guest speaker program for the NYC high schools. The 2016 Law Day them is “Miranda: More Than Words”, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court case, Miranda v. Arizona.
From May 2-9, 2016, attorney volunteers will be visiting high schools to speak on Constitutional Law, Civil Rights and Liberties, Criminal Law, Access to Courts, or Careers in the Law. Volunteers will speak at schools, classes or at assemblies, providing NYC students opportunities to engage in discussions with experts in the legal field.
