Last Call! NYSBA Mock Trial Summer Institute for HS Students

June 2, 2016 – The New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) is again offering the Mock Trial Summer Institute (MTSI) for high school students! The New York State MTSI is an intensive week long education camp for high school students who are involved in or would like to be a part of Mock Trial. MTSI is scheduled for July 17-22 at Silver Bay on Lake George.

Under the instruction and guidance of seasoned Mock Trial teacher coaches and attorney guest speakers, students will delve into the world of Mock Trial in ways traditional and tested as well as unique and thought-provoking. Taking perspectives and techniques from all over the Mock Trial spectrum, students will have opportunities to explore new skills in an encouraging, supportive environment. Team building, group work, leadership development, and plenty of free unstructured time is built into the week’s schedule to allow for personal growth, team development and connections to be made with other students.
Mock trials are held on the final day before special guest judges. An awards luncheon wraps up the week.

FEE: $250 FOR STUDENTS FROM NEW YORK STATE | $1,000 FOR STUDENTS FROM OUT OF STATE
Fee includes room, board, and materials (some financial assistance may be available for students from New York State).
